Koh Samui is the best spot, or perhaps even your ultimate
paradise, for you to travel to in Thailand’s southern east-coast. Dubbed as
Thailand’s second-most beautiful island, there are plenty of things to eat,
activities to do and places to see, all waiting for you to explore its many
wonders. Not only does it have a number of beautiful beaches of its own, it is
also surrounded by a few other neighbouring islands with stunning seashores and
colourful coral reefs, which namely are Koh Tao, Koh Nangyuan, Koh Angthong,
and the well-known Koh Phangan where the Full Moon Party is held at every
month. While Koh Phangan is most famous for its monthly all-night beach party,
Koh Samui itself also hosts an equally interesting and lively night-life where
you can find yourself indulged with the unique styles of clubbing in the areas
of Chaweng. Know more!
Travelling to Koh Samui is actually a very easy thing to do. By
having an international airport of its own, you can get to Koh Samui by flying
from Bangkok, Phuket, Krabi, Chiang Mai, U-Tapao (Rayong-Pattaya International
Airport), or even Singapore, Kuala Lumper, Hong Kong and China’s Chengdu.
However, travelling within Koh Samui is not such a simple task for tourists, as
your options for transportation services are in fact quite limited. Even though
there are taxi cars and Thai-style minibuses offered for service, the fare
prices are not fixed and can vary, depending on the driver. Because of that,
you might have to be prepared to spend a lot of money on getting around the
island itself. There is also of course, motorbikes for you to rent. But if you
are travelling in a big group, or with a family, motorbikes are definitely not
the right choice for you.
